Job Description

This is what you will be doing:

  • Effectively manages a team of application analysts who support and maintain the applications and integration environment, as well as implement new technologies
  • Ensures system functionality, data quality and integrity, privacy and security, efficiency, and availability with respect to the applications and integration environment
  • Supports project deliverables by ensuring that formal project management principles and procedures are adhered to including; initiation and planning, execution, monitoring of project plans/schedules, communication and status reporting, managing risks and budgets (as required), stakeholder management, quality management, requirements gathering/documentation, workflow/process redesign, RFI/RFP development and evaluation, change management/communication, coordination of user acceptance testing, and working with external solution and service delivery parties
  • Effectively manages operating and capital budgets as required within scope of authority
  • Provides leadership, direction, and technical expertise in the planning, procurement, evaluation, development, and implementation of application and integration technologies to assure the delivery of high availability services incorporating best practice standards and providing strong support to executives, management, staff, and physicians
  • As a member of the ICT management team, collaborates with the Director of Digital Health Optimization, Director of Information and Communications Technology, the Chief Information and Digital Officer, and the Chief Medical Information Officer in the organization-wide strategic and tactical planning for information and communications technology
  • As a member of the Hospital's management team, assumes responsibility for related corporate projects and participates in Hospital-wide management activities and committees

Qualifications

This is what you will need to do it:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (i.e. Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Industry standard technical certification preferred (PMP/ITIL/Lean Certification)
  • A clinical designation is an asset
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible Information Technology related experience (with an application and integration focus) in a Healthcare environment
  • Five (5) years of supervisory/managerial experience working with diverse teams on day-to-day operations in addition to short and long term project deliverables
  • Experience in a service-oriented role requiring interaction with a broad cross-section of employees
  • Strong technical knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse HIS is preferred
  • Experience with Biomedical device integration is an asset
  • Proficient in the Windows suite of operating systems and the Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficient in ITIL-based service and change management processes
  • Strong team player with a proven track record of successfully leading programs and initiatives
  • Demonstrated Project Management skills
  • Demonstrated communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Strong technical aptitude along with sound analytical capabilities
  • Strong business process analysis and problem-solving skills
  • A continuous learner with broad knowledge of current healthcare applications and integration technology and trends

Additional Information

Status: Permanent Full-Time

Hours: Monday and Wednesday; 7.5 hour day shifts; Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)

Salary: $ $73.487 per hour
