The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for the performance of all quality functions, duties and documentation as related to the fabrication, installation, welding and coating of all structural items occurring on site.
Perform inspection on structural components, assemblies and fabrications in accordance with the applicable standard of construction and/or customer specifications.

This position is based on site in Saskatchewan.What You Will Be Working On
  • Dimensional inspections

  • Witness bolt up

  • Review of Material Test Reports

  • Receiving inspection

  • Monitor and record parts and heat numbers throughout fabrication and installation

  • Welding inspection

  • Inspecting buildings and structures at various construction stages to ensure code compliance

  • Complete all associated documentation; quality control reports, weld mapping, coating reports and turnover documents

  • Control of turnover documentation provided by subcontractors throughout the project

  • Liaise with client and third party inspectors as needed

  • Experience with NDE Processes

  • Identify non-conformances, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure issues are resolved.

  • Collaborate with construction on continuous improvement initiatives

What We Are Looking For
  • CSA W178.2 W59 level 2 certification and experience with structural steel

  • Experience with Structural Welding Procedures and Processes

  • Proficient with computer software programs such as Word, Excel, Bluebeam

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and prints

  • Ability to read and interpret client, industry, CSA standards and specifications

  • Ability to work within strict deadlines and under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor

  • Excellent communicator: excellent written and oral communications skills
