Position: Meat Clerk
Casual: Less than 24 hours per week
Availability: Weekdays and weekends- mornings, afternoons, and evenings.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Prepare, wrap, price and stock all varieties and cuts of meat
- Ensure that displays are fully stocked and properly faced
- Value-added duties
- Practice safe food handling procedures and wear appropriate attire
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications:
- Outstanding customer service and communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with the ability to work independently
- Experience with food preparation is an asset; training is available
- Capable of working in a cold/refrigerated environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; some heavy lifting is required
- Applicants must be over 14 years old. (Employment Standards mandates a permit to employ a person aged 14 or under, thus disclosure is required.)
