Specific Position Details:

Specific Position Duties:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of strong assessment practices.
  • Experience programming for students with exceptional needs would be considered an asset.
  • Understanding of a split grade classroom and differentiation is necessary.

Qualifications and General Duties:

  • A valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

  • Demonstrates a student-centred philosophy committed to maximizing learning in a safe and caring environment

  • Proficiency with Google Suite and educational tools for communication and planning

  • Experience and/or training in Assessment for Learning, including formative and summative assessment strategies
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and foster a sense of belonging
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues
  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice aligned with the Alberta Teaching Quality Standard
  • A willingness to contribute to the school's extracurricular programs is considered an asset

is a small Grade 1-12 rural school with 60 students. Our mission is "in partnership with our community, provides inclusive education through real-life, career based programming".

Innisfree is a small rural community in east central Alberta. This quiet village has a population of approximately 250 and a rural district approximately, 1250. Innisfree offers essential services such as a gas station and post office, along with recreational facilities such as a curling rink, skating rink, recreation centre, and multi-sport court.
