Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custodial and commercial cleaning, ensuring that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This role is essential for creating a welcoming and safe environment for both employees and visitors.

Main Duties

• Ice Maintenance
• Resurfacing and Edging/Chipping Ice Surfaces
• Zamboni Preventative Maintenance
• Facility Maintenance and Upkeep
• Maintain building exteriors, including snow clearing and salting
• Ensure cleanliness, restocking and safety of all public areas, including dressing rooms, washrooms, lobby, and stands.
• Conduct seasonal changeovers (ice-in and ice-out) to prepare for year-round facility use.
• Install, monitor, and maintain quality ice surfaces for user groups, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Ideal Candidate

• Previous arena experience is preferred; however, training is provided
• Mechanical aptitude and experience working around equipment, machines and/or tools
• Excellent communication skills as the role involves dealing with the public
• Dependable, reliable and honest
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Able to work days, evenings and weekends
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Valid drivers license

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
