Job Summary

The Clinical Instructor plays a vital role in the education and training of students in clinical settings. This position is responsible for providing guidance, support, and instruction to students as they develop their clinical skills and knowledge. The ideal candidate will possess strong public speaking and communication skills, along with the ability to analyze student performance and provide constructive feedback. The Clinical Instructor will work collaboratively with faculty and staff to enhance the educational experience and ensure that students meet the required competencies.

Responsibilities

Following are the responsibilities but not limited to the following:

  • Educate and train students in clinical settings, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards.
  • Conduct public speaking engagements to present educational material and facilitate discussions.
  • Interview prospective students as part of the recruiting process, assessing their suitability for clinical programs.
  • Utilize Ellucian and PeopleSoft systems for managing student records and tracking progress.
  • Analyze student performance data to identify areas for improvement and develop tailored instructional strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and healthcare professionals to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to students throughout their clinical rotations.
  • Collaborate with faculty to develop curriculum materials that reflect current best practices in clinical education.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in clinical instruction or a related educational role is highly desirable.
  • Strong public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in using Ellucian and PeopleSoft systems for academic administration.
  • Excellent interviewing skills for effective recruiting of prospective students.
  • Ability to analyze data critically and implement improvements based on findings.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on clarity and professionalism.
  • A commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse student populations.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
