Welder/Fitter/Fabricator

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes, with a focus on quality and precision. This role involves working with metal components to assemble and fabricate products according to specifications, ensuring adherence to safety standards and best practices.

Duties

• Perform MIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and forklifts for fabrication tasks.
• Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues during the welding and fitting process.
• Rig materials safely for lifting using cranes or other equipment when necessary.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and accurately.

Experience

• Proven experience in welding and fitting within a manufacturing or construction environment is essential.
• Familiarity with rigging techniques and the operation of cranes is highly desirable.
• Proficient in using calipers for precise measurements and basic math skills for calculations related to fabrication tasks.
• Experience with machining processes is a plus, as well as knowledge of assembly techniques.
• A strong understanding of MIG welding, and processes to weld various grades of high strength steel.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
