We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Labourers to join our manufacturing team on a temporary contract basis. In this role, you will be an essential part of our production process Heavy Weight Blocks for the Stanely Park Water Supply Tunnel. Your hands-on approach and mechanical aptitude will help ensure smooth assembly line operations and maintain high safety and quality standards. This position offers a chance to learn about the manufacturing of structural precast components and contribute to a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

  • Assist with assembly line operations, ensuring components are assembled accurately and efficiently
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, to support production tasks
  • Support warehouse activities including loading, unloading, and organizing materials
  • Conduct routine inspections of equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards
  • Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working environment for all team members
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and improve workflow processes
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization within the manufacturing facility to uphold safety standards
  • Support the setup and breakdown of workstations as needed for production phases

Skills

  • Manufacturing experience with familiarity in assembly line work
  • Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate hand tools and power tools effectively
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and safety procedures
  • Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail for assembly tasks
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions clearly
  • Prior warehouse experience is a plus, along with familiarity using hand tools and power tools
