Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Manager to oversee daily operations in our restaurant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food service and demonstrate exceptional leadership skills. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality food preparation, maintaining customer satisfaction, and managing staff effectively during your shift.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities of kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to guarantee adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manage the Point of Sale (POS) system, including cash handling and transaction accuracy.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to foster a positive work environment and enhance performance.
  • Conduct interviews for new hires and participate in the onboarding process.
  • Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness in all areas of the restaurant.
  • Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain high levels of customer service.
  • Collaborate with upper management to implement operational improvements and achieve business goals.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, safety practices, and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Previous experience in supervising staff, interviewing candidates, and team management is essential.
  • Background in hospitality or barista experience is a plus.

Pay: $17.75-$23.00 per hour
