Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant and hospitality experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for guests. The Food Service Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining high-quality food industry standards while fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow and excellent customer service
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling procedures to meet safety and quality standards
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
  • Lead, train, and evaluate team members; conduct interviewing and onboarding of new staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas in accordance with health regulations
  • Assist in restaurant management tasks including scheduling, reporting, and operational improvements
  • Promote teamwork among staff to foster a positive work environment

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience in food service or restaurant management
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food industry best practices
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
  • Experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or bars is advantageous
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively
  • Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
  • Experience with cash handling and operating restaurant equipment
  • Prior restaurant experience across various roles including serving or bartending is preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
