Job Summary
Leading groups of skiers and snowboarders in Whistler Blackcomb's lift-accessed backcountry terrain with routes extending into Garibaldi Provincial Park. Guides will provide a safe, rewarding, and education experience in the backcountry environment. Casual and Part Time positions available.

Job Specifications

  • Starting Wage: $22.00/hr - $55.98/hr
  • Employment Type: Winter Seasonal 2025/2026
  • Shift Type: Part Time hours available
  • Minimum Age: At least 15 years of age
  • Housing Availability: No

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe practices while skiing/ travelling through both resort and backcountry terrain.
  • Attend and contribute to AM guides meetings.
  • Ensure continued and ongoing guest training and awareness for safe mountain travel, avalanches and rescue.
  • Maintain constant awareness of mountain conditions (weather, snowpack and changes).
  • Maintain an intimate knowledge of the emergency response plan and intent.
  • Adhering to the Run List as produced from the AM Guide Meeting.

  • Zone selection for the day and run selection for their group based on:

  • Mountain Safety

  • lift Access
  • Skier ability

  • Skier preferences

  • Gather snow safety information when it is prudent.

Job Requirements

  • ACMG Ski Guide or UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide
  • CAA I (CAA II preferred)
