Position Details

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is currently seeking local Journeyperson or Apprentices Carpenter's with Doka formwork experience for work at our SAIT project in Calgary, AB

  • Benefits and RRSP Provided As Per Collective Agreement
  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Schedule: Evening Shift - Monday - Friday (3:30PM-1:00AM)
  • Duration: Short term, roughly 1.5 months of work

What You Will Be Working On

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirement
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and/or other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and or roof systems
  • Fit and install trim items such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware

What We Are Looking For

  • Applicants with formwork experience will only be considered
  • At least 2 years of commercial experience
  • Valid Journeyperson Certificate
  • CSTS 2020
  • WHMIS 2015
  • ESC Fall Protection
  • ECS MEWP
  • Extensive knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the work
  • Experience on major industrial project sites
  • The ability to lift, carry and handle weight up to 50lbs
  • Must be organized, self-driven, and have ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions
