Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Food Service Associate. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service and ensuring a smooth operation within our food service environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a commitment to quality, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system, including Micros POS, for processing customer transactions efficiently.
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitation in accordance with health regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience and increase sales.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation and handling within the food industry.
  • Familiarity with POS systems, specifically Micros POS, is highly desirable.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices.
  • Previous restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory.
