Shift & Schedule

• Must be available at least 2 weekdays per week between 10:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekends and statutory holidays as needed
• Location: Waterloo

Note: Work schedules are subject to change. Employees may be required to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts. Shifts may include a mandatory 30 minute unpaid meal break.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment and perform well in a team setting.
• Knowledge about and able to perform all duties required of any equivalent or lower job classifications at the stores, filling in wherever needed to assist with our high customer service requirements.
• Responsibility for opening and closing of facility.
• Inventory control, cleanliness and tidiness of fridges, freezers, merchandisers, counters, walls, shelves, glass, and storage areas.
• Responsible for proper handling of store revenue, including customer transactions.
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Understand and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Maintain sanitation and health and safety standards in all work and customer areas.
• Clean and organize customer and work areas, equipment, utensils and stations.
• Food preparation and production
• Maintain accurate time, temperature and cleaning logs.
• Make certain that all product is stored, retrieved and inventory is properly rotated (FIFO).
• Inventory control, including ordering correct amounts from suppliers to meet seasonal demands.
• Always meet or exceed standards, policies and procedures.
• Any other duties set out by the Manager.

Job Requirements

• Strong communication skills (reading, writing, and spoken English).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure in a busy environment.
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
• Capable of lifting up to 23 kg / 50 lbs and performing repetitive physical tasks.
• Comfortable following both verbal and written instructions.
