Bakery Attendant

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our dynamic team in April thru to October 2026 with possibility to continue on a full-time basis. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of our bakery, assisting in food preparation, baking, and customer service. Responsibilities

• Serving customers at the front counter
• Assist in the preparation of various baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes.
• Follow recipes and maintain consistency in product quality.
• Participate in cake decorating and presentation to ensure appealing final products.
• Package baked goods for display and sale while ensuring proper food handling practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area and equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their orders and inquiries.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• MUST BE FLUENT in speaking both english & french
• Previous experience in the food industry or restaurant setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
• Basic knowledge of cake decorating is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of food handling safety practices is essential.
• A passion for baking and creativity in product presentation is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship

Contract length: 7 months

Pay: $16.25-$21.64 per hour
