Job Description

Hempire House is currently hiring for our retail location in Tottenham, Ontario.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual with retail experience and a strong knowledge of legal cannabis products and brands. At Hempire House, we aim to deliver more than just a transaction, we provide a welcoming, educational, and personalized customer experience. Our knowledgeable and approachable team takes pride in helping each customer find the right product to suit their needs.

Requirements & Experience

  • Minimum age: 19 years
  • Valid CannSell Certification (required)
  • Criminal background check (required)
  • Previous retail or customer service experience (preferred)
  • Cannabis retail experience is an asset
  • Cash handling and POS system experience is an asset
  • Inventory management or stocking experience is an asset
  • Experience opening and closing a retail store is an asset
  • Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Schedule

  • 4–8 hour shifts
  • Day and evening shifts
  • Monday to Friday, weekends, and holidays
  • Store is open 7 days a week

Responsibilities

  • Welcome customers with a friendly and professional approach, offering personalized guidance based on individual preferences and needs
  • Educate customers on cannabis strains, products, consumption methods, and expected effects
  • Accurately operate the POS system for sales transactions and inventory tracking
  • Perform cash-handling responsibilities with accuracy and accountability
  • Maintain organized, visually appealing merchandise displays and ensure consistent product availability
  • Recommend and upsell products to enhance the customer experience and drive sales
  • Respond to customer inquiries in person and over the phone with clear and effective communication
  • Maintain accurate records through filing and computer-based tasks
  • Support inventory management, including restocking and product organization
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal requirements related to cannabis sales and age verification
  • Assist team leadership in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
