Our program is uniquely hands-on, allowing Interns to work alongside our leaders on exciting new projects and strategies. In addition to day-to-day projects, Interns will have access to a series of learning and networking events, mentorship sessions, an end of term Capstone Project, and much more. Find out more here     As Development Intern, you will support the Development team by assisting with the day-to-day management of development projects and financial analysis. Reporting to the Manager, Development, this role offers exposure to the full development cycle - from planning approvals to project underwriting providing hands-on experience and insight into real estate development strategies

WHAT YOU WILL DO:  Conduct zoning, land-use, and parking compliance reviews for prospective commercial tenants.Research municipal planning and zoning policies to support the development  pipeline.Review drawings, plans, and reports for development applications.Compile and summarize feedback from municipal and agency reviews.Perform market research to assist with feasibility studies, proforma modeling, and track comparable developments.Update and maintain data on municipal fees, development charges, and taxes for financial models.Assist with tracking IFRS valuations and other financial reports to support project underwriting process.Provide administrative support for project activities, including budget tracking, invoice processing, and file organization.  WHAT YOU BRING:  Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in one of the following fields: Real Estate, Urban/ Regional Planning, Finance, Economics or related field.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; experience with and Canva is an asset.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and adapt to changing priorities. OUR APPLICATION PROCESS:   Our Summer Internships/Co-Ops are four-month, paid, in-person opportunities commencing on May 4, 2026, and concluding on August 21, 2026.
