Position Overview

The Maintenance Manager oversees all plant maintenance operations and safety programs. This dual role blends hands-on technical leadership with strategic H&S management, ensuring equipment, facilities, and systems operate efficiently, safely, and in full regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical aptitude, deep knowledge of corrugated manufacturing equipment, and proven experience leading maintenance teams in a high-volume environment. You'll drive preventive maintenance, reduce downtime, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of production and facility equipment.
  • Develop and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Coordinate with Production to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
  • Supervise and train maintenance technicians; promote teamwork and accountability.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor/contractor service.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements.
  • Support production, logistics, and other departments as required.
  • Serve as the facility's Health & Safety Leader.
  • Implement and maintain safety programs aligned with OHSA and company standards.
  • Conduct inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits; ensure corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in corrugated, packaging, or high-speed manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven leadership managing maintenance teams.
  • Solid understanding of OHSA, Lockout/Tagout, and safety best practices.
  • Experience with Lean, 5S, or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
