This contract position is a new vacancy.
As the Director, Sourcing and Procurement Transformation, at Sagicor Financial Corporation, you will report to the VP, Expense Management and Chief Procurement Officer, and support procurement services globally across the Sagicor organization. You will partner closely with business leaders and key oversight groups—including Legal, Information Security, and Risk Management—to enhance how the organization sources, manages, and governs third‑party vendors. You will drive transformation across key procurement pillars such as sourcing and category management, procure‑to‑pay, contract management, and supplier relationship management. This includes modernizing processes, increasing spend visibility, digitizing manual workflows, and enabling data‑driven decision‑making. Combining strong relationship‑building skills with sound governance oversight, you will ensure Sagicor secures quality products and services at competitive value while effectively mitigating risk.
Key Responsibilities- Integrate Sourcing and Procurement best practices
- Utilize current and emerging technology to strategically serve business needs
- Lead the identification of supplier gaps and overlaps against governance
- Determine and promote procurement category strategies with business leaders
- Actively participate in the success and growth of strategic sourcing processes, leading complex contract negotiations, and identifying new opportunities
- Develop and sustain subject matter expertise regarding acceptable contract terms, regulatory compliance requirements, Service Level Agreements, third party relationship measurements, metrics and reporting
What we pay
$155,000 - $175,000
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Supply Chain Management, Economics, Operations, Law, or a related field)
- 7+ years experience in procurement
- Proven experience in transforming or implementing change on a large scale
- Advanced understanding of project management, data and analytics
- Excellent relationship management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software with Excel expertise
- Effective Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Results driven, with a comfort level with ambiguity
- Supply Chain or Procurement Certification is considered an asset
- Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Fusion, SAP Ariba, Coupa, etc. is considered an asset
