Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Jasper Recovery Program (JRP) Coordinator to join our team. This position supports businesses impacted by the 2024 Wildfire Complex, helping them recover and navigate available resources through business coaching and community outreach. The role is essential in coordinating recovery and marketing initiatives, fostering engagement, and ensuring smooth program operations. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, and project management skills — and is passionate about making a meaningful impact in Jasper's economic recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate recovery programs and assist with grant and loan administration
  • Serve as a primary contact for affected businesses, providing coaching and guidance on available supports
  • Conduct outreach to assess business needs and connect them to recovery and marketing opportunities
  • Develop and share promotional materials to highlight programs and community success stories
  • Manage and update the organization's website and social media accounts to ensure accurate, engaging content
  • Maintain records, reporting, and database systems for recovery programs
  • Collaborate with local, regional, and provincial partners to support economic recovery efforts
  • Plan and deliver business workshops on recovery, continuity, and preparedness

Qualifications

  • Experience in program coordination, business support, or economic development
  • Strong marketing, communication, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design/communication tools (Canva, Eventbrite, Meta Business Suite, etc.)
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as required

Working Environment

Normal working environment with flexibility on working hours after end of 3-month probationary period. Some travel required for program delivery.
