Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems including CCTV, IDS (Intrusion Detection Systems), and telecommunication systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, computer networking, and mechanical knowledge to ensure that all installations meet industry standards and client specifications.

Duties

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair low voltage systems including CCTV cameras, sensors, and telecommunication equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate installation of systems.
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to integrate low voltage systems into new builds or renovations.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Provide technical support for computer hardware related to low voltage applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

Experience

  • Proven experience in low voltage installations with a focus on CCTV, IDS, and telecommunication systems.
  • Strong background in electrical work with the ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts and hardware is preferred.
  • Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
  • Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a construction environment. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
