Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. A background in law enforcement or security is preferred, along with experience in surveillance and loss prevention.

Duties

  • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
  • Conduct regular patrols of the property to ensure safety and security.
  • Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies, taking appropriate action as necessary.
  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents or irregularities observed during patrols or surveillance.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns.

Qualifications

MUST have a valid security license, valid class G drivers licence and be over 25 years of age with a clean driving record

  • Previous experience in law enforcement or security preferred.
  • Familiarity with surveillance equipment and loss prevention strategies is a plus.
  • Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Must be physically fit and able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in security training are advantageous. Join our team as a Security Guard where your skills will contribute to creating a safe environment for everyone involved

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
