Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain ServiceNow applications and modules to meet organizational needs, ensuring seamless integration with existing IT systems.
  • Design and implement scalable service architecture solutions that optimize workflows, automate processes, and improve overall service delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Integrate ServiceNow with other enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Pegasystems, and various databases using RESTful APIs, SOAP web services, and other integration tools.
  • Conduct system analysis to identify opportunities for automation using scripting languages like JavaScript, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality deployments and ongoing performance improvements.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, workflows, and development processes aligned with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies in cloud security, virtualization (VMware, ESXi), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and DevOps practices such as CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins or Git.
  • Implement system hardening measures to enhance security posture by managing vulnerabilities through vulnerability assessments and threat intelligence insights.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by participating in Agile development cycles and contributing to system architecture planning.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience developing on the ServiceNow platform with a strong understanding of its architecture and modules.
  • Solid knowledge of service-oriented architecture (SOA), solution architecture principles, and system design best practices.
  • Hands-on experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems like Salesforce or Pegasystems using RESTful APIs or SOAP web services.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages including JavaScript; familiarity with Python or PowerShell is a plus.
  • Strong background in IT infrastructure components such as operating systems (Windows/Linux), computer networking (VPNs, DNS, DHCP), firewalls, load balancing, and cloud security (AWS/Azure).
  • Experience working with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of NoSQL databases is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies including VMware ESXi and containerization tools like Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or similar tools; experience with Git version control is essential.
  • Knowledge of SDLC methodologies like Agile; experience working within Scrum teams is preferred.
  • Technical expertise in system administration tasks such as GPO management, system hardening, vulnerability management & assessment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with an ability to debug complex issues across multiple platforms; excellent communication skills for collaborative teamwork.
