Full-Time Carpenter

AON Builders | Peterborough & Surrounding Area

Reporting to: Site Superintendent

Hours: 35–40 hours per week

Wage: $27–$32 per hour (based on experience)

AON Builders is seeking a Full-Time Carpenter to support daily production operations across a variety of job sites in Peterborough and the surrounding area. This role is ideal for a motivated, skilled professional who takes pride in quality workmanship, site safety, and teamwork.

Position Summary

The Carpenter is responsible for supporting daily production by maintaining a clean and organized work environment and completing a variety of carpentry, drywall, material handling, and installation tasks. Work will take place across AON's commercial and residential buildings, long-term care and retirement homes, as well as new building projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support daily production operations across AON's commercial and residential buildings, long-term care and retirement homes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
  • Perform general carpentry and drywall installation tasks
  • Safely use a variety of hand tools and equipment
  • Complete special projects as required
  • Observe and comply with all legislated Health & Safety regulations
  • Follow and support established workplace safety procedures

Qualifications & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in general carpentry and drywall installation
  • Comfortable and capable using hand tools and equipment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Able to multitask projects and meet production deadlines
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift heavy objects
  • Must have your own cordless drill and hand tools
  • Minimum 6" CSA-approved work boots required (all other safety equipment provided)
