We are seeking a dynamic Project & Service Manager to oversee projects, manage service operations, and drive company growth.

Job Summary

The Project & Service Manager will oversee plumbing, heating, and mechanical projects and service operations, ensuring timely completion, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role combines in-office coordination with in-field oversight, requiring a proactive leader to manage materials, track project progress, connect with clients, and resolve issues. Working closely with Dispatch and Operations Manager, the Project & Service Manager will establish systems, provide reports, follow up on leads, and identify operational inefficiencies to support Ray-Z Plumbing & Heating's growth. This position is based in Calgary, Alberta, and reports to the Operations Manager.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Oversight and Execution

• Oversee plumbing, heating, and HVAC projects to ensure completion on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
• Monitor project milestones, track progress, and ensure alignment with timelines and client expectations.
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure availability of materials and resources, ordering as needed to prevent delays.

2. Client Communication and Satisfaction

• Communicate regularly with clients to understand needs, manage expectations, and ensure high satisfaction levels.
• Follow up on leads, engage with potential clients, and close deals to drive business growth.
• Address client concerns promptly, ensuring resolutions align with company standards and client expectations.

3. Operational Systems and Process Development

• Develop and implement systems to streamline project management and service operations for improved efficiency.
• Identify operational inefficiencies (e.g., resource waste, scheduling issues) and propose actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with dispatch to optimize technician scheduling and ensure smooth workflow.

4. Resource and Material Management

• Manage procurement and allocation of materials to support project and service needs without delays.
• Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of tools, equipment, and resources for operational readiness.
• Monitor resource usage to minimize waste and optimize project budgets.

5. Reporting and Collaboration

• Provide detailed reports to senior management on project status, service performance, and key operational metrics.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager to align project and service activities with company goals.
• Collaborate with dispatch and other teams to resolve issues and maintain efficient operations.

6. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure all projects and service operations comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Conduct regular checks to maintain a safe working environment for technicians and field staff.
• Address on-site challenges through in-field oversight to uphold safety and quality standards.

7. Business Growth and Improvement

• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and propose strategies to support company expansion.
• Contribute to the growth of Ray-Z Plumbing & Heating by driving process enhancements and client engagement.
• Support strategic initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational scalability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in project management or service coordination, preferably in plumbing, heating, or mechanical industries.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and quality outcomes.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills to oversee technicians and coordinate resources.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Experience with material procurement and inventory management.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of plumbing, heating, or HVAC systems is a strong asset.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to job sites in Calgary and surrounding areas.
• Experience with CRM or ERP softwares or dispatch systems is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Work Environment

• Location: Calgary, Alberta (combination of in-office and in-field work).
• Start Date: Immediate (ASAP).
• Full-time position: Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends for urgent projects or client needs.
• Timing: 7:30AM - 5PM
• Dynamic Role: Requiring flexibility to balance office-based planning and on-site oversight.

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
