Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Use computerized diagnostic equipment to identify problems with engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and emissions.
  • Repairs & Maintenance: Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements (e.g., brakes, steering, suspension, HVAC) to manufacturer specifications.
  • Preventative Services: Execute routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
  • Documentation & Communication: Provide clear explanations of repairs to customers, prepare accurate estimates, and maintain detailed service logs.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols, keep a clean, organized, and safe work environment, and properly dispose of hazardous materials.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Licensure: Valid provincial issued automotive service technician license.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of an accredited automotive service technician program.
  • Experience: Minimum 2+ years of professional experience as an automotive technician.
  • Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of vehicle systems, repair procedures, and diagnostic software.
  • Physical Ability: Strong stamina for lifting, standing, and working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Tools: Proficient in using both hand-held and specialized power tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to learn and complete ongoing training for new automotive technology.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.76-$45.59 per hour
