As the Project Controls Manager, you will lead a project controls team and be responsible for the development, integration, and management of core project controls functions of Green Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) - SE project, including scheduling management, cost management, earned value management, cash flow forecasting, and performance analyzing and reporting. As a key member of the Green Line's Management Team, your primary duties include:
- Develop and implement project control procedures, processes and plans, applying industry best practices.
- Establish the overall project controls structure to meet all control requirements in compliant with City processes and are supportive of project reporting.
- Integrate schedule, cost and earned value management to effectively manager project progress and performance.
- Establish project controls processes for each individual sub-project, and ensure these sub-projects have solid project controls support to be properly planned, monitored and cost effectively executed.
- Collaboratively working with internal functional groups and external consultants/contractors to perform project controls functions.
- Define and track key performance indicators to ensure the project progress and performance meet project cost and schedule requirements.
- Coordinate financial reporting including project cashflows, corporate reporting, integrated risk management, and tangible capital assets.
- Lead and build a strong project controls team. Supervise and manage project controls team's daily activities.
- Drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering or Construction supplemented with at least 10 years of project control experience.
- Experience in multi-billion dollar projects is required.
- Leadership experience in project controls, estimate, cost control, scheduling, earned value management and risk management.
- LRT mega project experience greater than $1B is an asset.
- Previous experience in change management and report writing will be considered as assets.
- Project management certification such as a Project Management Professional (PMP), or AACEi Certificate such as Certified Cost Professional (CCP) and Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) will be considered an asset.
- You demonstrate the ability to work independently and efficiently, think strategically, and work effectively while building relationships with partners at all levels.
- Strong political acumen, well-developed communication skills, and exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this position.
- Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day
work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.
Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
