Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record in outside sales, B2B sales, and account management. This role involves developing new business opportunities, managing broker relationships, and implementing effective marketing strategies to expand our market presence across various industries. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in shaping the company's sales initiatives and ensuring customer satisfaction through excellent service and technical expertise.
Duties
- Lead and manage brokers to achieve company sales targets and objectives
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and expand existing accounts
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with brokers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
- Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, networking, and outreach efforts
- Conduct negotiations with brokers to close deals effectively while maximizing value for the company
- Oversee B2B sales activities, including presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations
- Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales activities, forecast revenue, and analyze performance metrics
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns that support sales initiatives
- Provide leadership in technical sales by understanding product features, industry trends, and customer needs
- Manage key accounts to ensure ongoing business development and retention
- Analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast future performance, and adjust strategies accordingly
- Foster a high-performance culture within the sales team through coaching, training, and motivation
Experience
- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, or technology sales with a minimum of 3-5 years in a managerial role
- Strong background in management with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms for pipeline management and analysis
- Knowledge of marketing principles as they relate to sales growth strategies
- Familiarity with technical or industrial product sales is highly desirable
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strong business development acumen
- Ability to analyze complex data sets to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships
- Demonstrated success in account management and expanding existing customer portfolios
