Job Summary
French Language Services is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of strategic and business initiatives related to Council approved By-Law and the Bilingualism Policy for the corporation, and works with City departments to ensure that programs and services meet the linguistic and cultural needs of Ottawa's French speaking population and with Francophone umbrella organizations and French speaking community groups/networks to promote/assist with access to City programs and services. FLS also provides interpretation, translation, revision and terminology services to the Corporation and Council.

You are responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of comprehensive French-language education, awareness and communications initiatives and events. You assist branch management by providing research and analytical support to a variety of French Language Services programs and initiatives, tracking and monitoring related information and data, and ensuring accuracy and integrity. You also provide project management support to the Unit.

Education And Experience
Completion of 3 years of post-secondary education in communications, journalism or public relations, or related field.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in the field of customer services, communications, public relations, journalism, marketing and/or media relations.
