Information Control Testing Specialist

Summary:
We're looking for an Information Control Testing Specialist to join our Enterprise Technology & Services team. In this role, you will be part of a team that works with different service areas within ETS, serving as a trusted partner and domain expert to help protect information assets. You will participate in critical global projects and initiatives to ensure information risk is appropriately managed, perform security risk assessments, and provide consulting on various projects and tool implementations. You will also collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, and application teams to implement security controls, ensuring alignment with information security policies, procedures, and standards, and report to senior management on control effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist project teams with identifying and validating security requirements or lead the completion of information risk assessments.
- Perform in-depth risk assessments on projects from a technical security perspective to ensure that safeguards and controls align with security policies and standards.
- Provide input and recommendations to ETS service areas on information security requirements and standard methodologies.
- Collaborate with ETS service areas on Go-Live Acceptance Reviews for new infrastructure and related services.
- Report on risk assessments in accordance with internal requirements.
- Perform other information risk management tasks as required.
Must-Have Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in information security and information risk management.
Strong understanding and hands-on experience with:
Security architecture and controls across infrastructure platforms (Windows, Unix, RH Linux, virtual hosting, networking, end-user technology, and cloud computing — IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Familiarity with security systems including privilege management, SIEM/big data security monitoring, NAC, vulnerability management, PKI/encryption, APT solutions (FireEye, Z-scaler), firewall/IPS, WAF, and frameworks such as OWASP or SANS.
- Knowledge of application security best practices including secure coding and security testing techniques.
- Experience working with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP); Windows and related services (Active Directory, DNS, IIS, MSSQL); ADFS, SAML; and collaboration tools (Office 365, SharePoint).
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Understanding of AI technologies and their deployment models.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CEH are considered an asset.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong practical understanding of risk management and implementation, a solid grasp of security fundamentals, and the ability to assess and communicate risks effectively. Candidates with a robust background in risk management will be highly regarded.
