Overview

We are seeking a motivated Apprentice Electrician to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical installation and maintenance within industrial and construction environments. Duties

  • Assist senior electricians in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems across various projects.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to support accurate wiring and system setup.
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to perform wiring, conduit bending, and component installation.
  • Work with low voltage systems as well as standard electrical circuits, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Support the setup of electrical panels, fixtures, and equipment according to project specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Learn to troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals under supervision.
  • Collaborate with team members on construction sites or industrial facilities to complete projects efficiently.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of electrical systems, including experience with schematics, blueprints reading, and low voltage wiring is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and construction environments is advantageous.
  • Prior industrial electrician experience or coursework related to electrical trades is a plus but not required.
  • Strong interest in developing skills within the electrical trade with a willingness to learn on the job.
  • Ability to work safely in construction or industrial settings while following safety guidelines.
  • Experience not required — looking for a 1st-year apprentice.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Must be at least 18 years old and able to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods. This position provides an excellent foundation for those looking to build a career as an electrician through practical experience and professional development opportunities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.60-$18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
