UX Engineer

This role offers the opportunity to shape the front-end experience of a leading customer support platform. As a UX Engineer, you will bridge the gap between design and code, building and maintaining the design system and UI components that define the product experience. You will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and product managers to craft polished, performant, and accessible interfaces. Engaging with end users, you will gather feedback, test interactions, and refine interfaces to ensure clarity and usability. This position allows for significant creative input and cross-functional collaboration, making it ideal for individuals who are passionate about user experience, front-end development, and product design.

Accountabilities:

· Build, maintain, and enhance the design system and UI component library to ensure consistency and accessibility.

· Collaborate with designers, engineers, and product managers to audit, design, and implement UI/UX features.

· Prototype interactions, data visualizations, and interface components to improve usability and product quality.

· Engage directly with end users to gather feedback and understand their challenges.

· Ensure interfaces meet performance and accessibility standards.

· Mentor and educate colleagues on UI/UX best practices and front-end development standards.

· years of experience building high-quality web interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript; experience with React is required, TypeScript is a plus.

· Strong attention to UX/UI details, including layout, typography, navigation, forms, buttons, and data visualization.

· Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices, with experience addressing common accessibility challenges.

· Ability to communicate effectively and provide constructive feedback to team members.

· Curiosity about web trends, front-end tooling, and infrastructure (build processes, testing libraries, etc.).

· Strong instincts for product and business needs, with the ability to advocate for impactful UX decisions.
