Summary
This position is responsible for overseeing Wonderbrands' transportation and logistics operations, including financial oversight, inventory management, and the continuous optimization of the distribution network. This role requires the effective management of third-party logistics (3PL) carrier and vendor relationships to ensure service excellence and operational efficiency. This position reports to the Transportation Director.

Salary: $60,000 - $70,000 (Eligible for up to a 7% annual bonus)
Location: Etobicoke, ON
Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage financial aspects of the transportation function, including budgeting, cost control, and variance analysis
  • Identify opportunities to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) and automation tools into transportation and logistics processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making
  • Coordinate the allocation and movement of assets between locations based on demand, capacity, and business priorities
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels to support uninterrupted operations, while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Analyze, design, and optimize the distribution network to improve service levels, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
  • Implement processes and controls to track asset utilization, minimize shortages, and reduce excess inventory
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) carriers and vendors, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and performance standards
  • Create, review, and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and contractual agreements
  • Reconcile vendor invoices against purchase orders, contracts, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Financial acumen with demonstrated experience in budgeting, cost control, and invoice reconciliation
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and vendors
  • Proficiency in ERP and TMS systems; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and data analysis required
  • Experience with distribution network optimization, inventory management, and asset allocation
  • Familiarity with AI-driven tools, automation solutions, and emerging technologies in supply chain management considered a strong asset
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
