About The Chubb Summer Internship Program
The internship program provides students with a well-rounded knowledge of the insurance industry in a practical environment. Students can expect to gain industry knowledge and hands-on experience while building professional relationships. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our summer internship program offers the chance to have practical, real-world experience at one of the world's leading P&C insurance companies. As a part of the program, you will have the opportunity to work on business specific projects where you will gain knowledge and experience to supplement and strengthen your academic skills. As a Property & Casualty Risk Engineering Intern, your program will be tailored to our Property & Casualty discipline. You will shadow our Risk Consultants, develop skills that complement the role and directly contribute to organizational objectives. Property & Casualty Risk Engineering Consultants (PCREs) conduct evaluations that assist Chubb in overall risk selection and identify areas of risk improvement for our customer base. Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Engineering. The most popular in Risk Engineering include Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Architectural and Environmental;
  • Bilingual in French and English is an asset;
  • Technical training in inspection, engineering, quality control or manufacturing is highly desirable as is experience with industrial, mechanical and electrical equipment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Consultative, sales and marketing skills;
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact and build relationships with all levels of internal and external contacts;
  • An aptitude for evaluating, analyzing, and interpreting technical information;
  • Strong PC skills including; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team;
  • Must demonstrate a high level of initiative and leadership skills;
  • Excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills are required;
  • An ability to adapt to new ideas and situations;
  • An ability to develop creative approaches to solving customer problems;
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
