Athletic Club Attendant

We're seeking an additional Front Desk Attendant for a Part-time shift who will assist clients with their varied needs and deliver a superior quality of service.

Schedules are posted on a weekly basis. Shift times will include mornings and evenings. As such, we require someone with flexible availability in part time shift.

Range of Pay: $ $24.68/hr.

Description of Duties:

Regular duties such as answering phones and making sure club operations are smooth

  • Greeting and registering club members and hotel guests
  • Answering questions about the facility and memberships
  • Updating and selling memberships
  • Selling training sessions and pro-shop items (we are not a hard-sell facility - members will be coming to the desk to request these)
  • Answer questions about the fitness equipment and exercises
  • Cashing out at the end of shift.

This position is responsible for proactively assisting guests and members of the Victoria Athletic Club. This includes providing guidance for the use of fitness equipment, selling memberships, processing payments and maintaining a clean gym.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have basic first aid and CPR, previous customer service and or retail experience with a fitness background. They should also possess excellent verbal communication skills and have cash handling experience.
