Job Description:
We are seeking a SWAT Engineer to support manufacturing and production operations at Stellantis facilities in Windsor, Canada. The SWAT Engineer will act as a rapid-response technical resource, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to automation systems, equipment performance, and production disruptions. This role requires strong hands-on experience in manufacturing environments and the ability to work cross-functionally with controls, maintenance, quality, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site, rapid-response support for production and automation issues
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled manufacturing equipment and automation systems
- Support commissioning, debugging, and stabilization of production lines
- Identify root causes of equipment downtime and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate with controls, maintenance, quality, and manufacturing teams
- Support change implementation, upgrades, and continuous improvement activities
- Document issues, fixes, and standard operating procedures
- Ensure compliance with plant safety and quality standards
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing / automotive production environments
- Hands-on troubleshooting of automation and industrial equipment
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens preferred)
- Understanding of sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial networks
- Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure production settings
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work onsite in Windsor, Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting Stellantis or Tier-1 automotive plants
- Exposure to robotics (FANUC or similar)
- Commissioning or launch support experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
