About the Role

Do you enjoy exploring wireless technology beyond the workplace—through hands-on tinkering, RF experimentation, open-source work, or personal projects? We're looking for someone who brings that same curiosity and practical mindset into real product development.

In this role, you'll help design and develop next-generation wireless devices powered by Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, and 5G. If you are comfortable working close to Linux, OpenWRT, Wi-Fi hardware, and RF behavior, this is an opportunity to turn your hands-on experience and personal interest in wireless technology into impactful work.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and debug advanced wireless products using Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 7, and technologies
  • Develop and optimize firmware for devices using Linux, OpenWRT, and 802.11s mesh protocols
  • Collaborate on the development of 5G-based wireless products
  • Work directly with WLAN chipsets (especially Qualcomm) to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions
  • Build and maintain cross-compilers, toolchains, and development environments
  • Contribute to kernel-level, driver-level, and application-level Linux development
  • Prototype, test, troubleshoot, and iterate in real-world RF environments

Qualifications

  • Linux Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Linux, particularly embedded and system-level development
  • OpenWRT Proficiency: Practical experience with OpenWRT or similar embedded Linux platforms
  • WLAN Chipsets: Hands-on experience working with Wi-Fi hardware and WLAN chipsets (Qualcomm preferred)
  • Mesh Protocols: Experience with 802.11s or similar mesh networking technologies
  • Toolchains: Experience building and maintaining cross-compilers, toolchains, and build environments
  • Build Systems: Familiarity with Yocto or comparable embedded build systems
  • Hands-On Experience: No formal education required. Demonstrated hands-on experience, personal projects, open-source contributions, or hobbyist work in Linux, wireless, or RF is more important than credentials
  • Maker Mindset: Experience or interest in RF experimentation, HackRF or SDR tools, HAM radio, antennas, spectrum analysis, or wireless experimentation outside of formal work is a strong plus

Pay: $8,000.00-$10,000.00 per month
