Duties

  • Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations
  • Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance or repairs when required
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or issues
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic laws during operations
  • Assist with warehouse duties, including freight handling and inventory management, when not on delivery routes

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record suitable for commercial driving
  • Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or freight handling preferred
  • Knowledge of automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is a plus
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles safely over long distances or in urban environments
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Prior experience in freight transportation or logistics is advantageous
