Job Summary:

The engineer uses technical knowledge along with interpersonal skills to understand customer and product issues, and propose solutions and execute repairs. Tasks include field and in-house troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of products. Follow departmental procedures and prepare all necessary reports and documentation. May provide customer support assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Employee should expect to work and travel independently, follow all policies, and work with specific types of Toshiba products.
  • Employee will maintain profitability by submitting thorough and detailed reports and expenses in a timely manner.
  • Employee must understand and adhere to the scope of work assigned.
  • Employee`s key responsibilities focus on Toshiba's standard products.
  • Responsible for all customer interactions in the field to include customer specific reports, requests, and documentation regarding Toshiba's standard products.
  • Employee must possess product knowledge to provide technical support on Toshiba`s standard products.
  • Employee must be skilled in trouble shooting and repair of Toshiba`s standard products.
  • Employee will perform startup and commissioning on Toshiba's standard products. Employee must be able to complete product inspections on Toshiba's simple nonstandard products.
  • Ability to travel both Domestic and International

Preferences:

  • Electrical Engineering, Associates degree or Technical degree
  • Military power electrical training program is preferred
  • Minimum of 0-4 years previous experience in troubleshooting and repair industrial power electronics
  • Experience with adjustable speed drives and/or AC induction motors is preferred

  • Over 50%
