Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Telecommunications Rigger role based in Mississauga, ON. The Telecommunications Rigger will be responsible for climbing and rigging telecommunications towers for installations, maintenance, and repairs. Daily tasks include assembling, installing, or maintaining communication equipment, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and conducting inspections to identify and address issues. The role also involves collaborating with project teams to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Technical proficiency in tower rigging, installation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and equipment including fall arrest systems, rigging techniques, and standards.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
- Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
- Valid certifications, such as Working at Heights, Tower Climbing, and Rigging certifications, are required.
- Previous experience in a telecommunications environment and familiarity with wireless technologies is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record, along with the willingness to travel to various work sites.
