Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive automotive repairs including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and modifications
  • Interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately
  • Assemble and disassemble vehicle components with precision
  • Lift heavy parts or vehicles safely using appropriate techniques and equipment
  • Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle serviced
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
  • Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs needed and estimated timelines

Qualifications

  • Proven mechanic experience, preferably within a dealership environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment
  • Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams effectively
  • Experience with vehicle assembly and disassembly processes
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various positions for extended periods
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
  • Prior experience in automotive repair or maintenance is highly desirable
