Your Opportunity:

Reporting to the Care Manager of Recovery Supports Day Program, the Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker is a member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team that facilitates the recovery process for individuals with addiction and/or mental health concerns. The role is responsible for assisting in planning, implementing, and modifying a variety of program options and opportunities that promote well-being for individuals and groups of individuals who attend programs. The role works as a member of a team providing emotional and functional skill building opportunities. Knowledge of existing community resources is an asset. The successful candidate will be comfortable providing group-based care, and display excellent engagement, communication, and collaborative care skills. The successful candidate will be a highly organized, self-motivated professional, with a friendly and open demeanor.

Description:

As an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of community based services to persons with a chronic addiction and/or severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Your duties will include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers. In this position, you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.
