Assembly Labourer

A division of Innovair Solutions, Hazloc Heaters is a global supplier and manufacturer of industrial and explosion-proof unit heaters, thermostats and disconnect switches for hazardous and severe-duty locations.

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Assembly Labourer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate(s) will have experience in production assembly, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in all activities as a member of the Assembly and Crating division of the company.

Based out of our Northeast Calgary factory, the successful candidate:

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets Detailed Work Instructions.
  • Mechanical Equipment assembly and Basic Electrical understanding.
  • Use of hand tools, power tools including air tools.
  • Use of wood cut-off saw and nail guns.
  • Cleans, QC's and checks component parts for any defects.
  • Ensures all equipment is clean and functional.
  • Assists with the maintenance and repair of fabrication equipment.
  • Assist Engineering staff on support issues related to product assembly.
  • Other related tasks and duties as required.

Requirements:

Education/Experience:

Education:

  • Hold a valid grade 12 diploma.
  • Work experience in a manufacturing environment preferably mechanical or electrical assembly.

Experience:

  • 1 to 3 years of direct related work experience.
  • Written and verbal English skills.
  • Fabrication, Assembly and Testing detail oriented

Work Environment:

  • Workshop where there is a potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles and high noise.
  • Have manual dexterity with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Wearing and using personal protective equipment is required when in the workshop.
  • Follow various company policies and procedures including adherence to high Safety standards.

Compensation will include an hourly rate + year-end bonus (based on company profitability), health benefits and matched RRSP contribution.
