Hamlets Vernon
3 days nurses
Rotation: 2 on 2 off 3 on 2 off 2 on 3 off
We have rooms in our AL for them to stay, looking at 3-month contracts.
2 night nurses
Rotation- 4 on 4 off
Responsibilities
Working within the LPN practice statement, competencies and conduct as defined by the Health Professions Act or other relevant legislation and governing professional organization
Utilizing the nursing process to ensure holistic care according to the GSS Car Standards Monitoring and communicating unit/program staffing needs
- identifying and responding to safety issues with immediate action
- Participating in the supervision and evaluation of staff
- Monitoring and communicating the need for supplies and equipment required for resident careSpan of Authority Excludes
Approving the usage of overtime hours and leaves of absences
Special Role Circumstances
- Manages building and resident emergencies after hours
Able to identify ethical dilemmas and participate in balanced decision making Able to multi-task in a constant high energy environment while responding to the multiple priorities
Qualifications
Licensed Practical Nurse Certificate BC Registration to full scope of practice with provincial professional association
CPR/First Aid
Dementia care training an asset
Fully Vaccinated
- Successful completion of an annual AIS competency test is required
