We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chocolatier to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, baking, and cake decorating, with a keen eye for detail and creativity. This role involves crafting high-quality chocolates and confections, ensuring food safety standards are met, and delivering exceptional customer service. The Chocolatier will play a vital part in creating visually stunning and delicious products that delight our customers and elevate our brand reputation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and craft a variety of chocolates, truffles, and confections using precise techniques.
• Experienced with chocolate tempering techniques and controlling the variables that determine chocolate texture
• Ensure all food handling practices comply with safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist in food preparation tasks within the kitchen, including baking and other culinary duties.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area to uphold food safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members to develop new recipes and product ideas that meet customer preferences.
• Provide excellent customer service by offering product knowledge and assisting with special requests when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in chocolatiering and chocolate tempering practices
• Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food handling procedures.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper sanitation practices.
• Experience with packaging finished products for retail or special orders.
• Previous kitchen experience in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and artistic ability in confectionery design.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting.
• Passion for the culinary arts with a focus on chocolate craftsmanship and dessert presentation.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$25.13 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 8 per week
