High Society Cannabis Co. is a locally owned cannabis retail store located in Thunder Bay, Ontario. We plan to deliver high-quality cannabis through a local shopping experience that is both upscale and welcoming to all. Our efficient in-store and online process let customers purchase cannabis on-the-go promptly.

The position

High Society is now hiring Full-Time Budtender. We are looking for responsible and trustworthy individuals passionate about the cannabis industry that enjoys helping others. These individuals will be a part of a team committed to reducing the stigma and exemplifying the modern cannabis landscape.

The Budtenders will play a significant role within the organization. Budtenders will develop, cultivate, foster relationships with our customers, and advise and educate them on suitable cannabis products.

Primary Responsibilities

• Be a team player.
• To assist and educate customers while building enduring and long-lasting relationships.
• Seek opportunities to contribute to and improve business results.
• Support inventory management and practice proper procedures to ensure customers have access to the right product.
• Follow all company training and operational standards and procedures (education, merchandising, cleanliness, security, checklists etc.)
• Demonstrate high levels of integrity and personal responsibility.
• Open to feedback, coaching and continuous improvement.
• Optimize customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensuring a clean and well-organized store at all times.
• Successfully drive sales and customer experience by educating on the brand and product.
• Complete tasks as assigned by the Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager and Key Holder.

Requirements

• CannSell certification is required.
• A criminal background check is required.
• To be able to lift boxes 5-30lbs.
• Minimum 1-year customer service experience in a retail setting.
• Demonstrate a high level of integrity and responsibility, adhering to all AGCO regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Positive attitude, high energy, persistent, and diligent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Passionate about the cannabis industry with a desire to learn.
• Professional, tidy appearance and good personal hygiene.
• Ability to develop meaningful connections through creating relationships in the community with customers and peers based on a foundation of trust and teamwork.
• Tech-savvy, proficient with POS systems (cannabis POS training will be provided)
• Previous cannabis sales experience. (preferred)
• Must be flexible with hours and comfortable with change in a fast-paced industry.
• Good with numbers, accuracy, and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to consistently work weekdays, with the flexibility to work nights, holidays and weekends.

Pay: $18.00-$19.20 per hour
