As the Director, People and Culture you will be a key contributor to the success of our organization by managing various aspects of people and culture. Your role involves collaborating closely with the Vice President, People and Culture, the People and Culture Team and members of the leadership team to implement HR strategies, programs and policies that align with the company's culture, values and business objectives. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring the well-being of our employees.

In this senior leadership position, you will lead all People and Culture functions across New Brunswick, with a strong focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management, elevating the overall employee experience.

You will partner with the Vice President, People and Culture to lead the execution of our established Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) and Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan (IRAP) journey. A key focus of your role will be advancing community outreach and building strategic partnerships with local organizations and equity-deserving groups. Through these efforts, you will help ensure that our people strategies and practices not only embody our core values but also drive measurable progress toward increasing CAA Atlantic's workforce representation from equity-deserving groups to reflect the regional census demographics.

Work Conditions:

What you'll need
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Management.
    • CPHR designation is not required but considered a strong asset
  • A minimum of 10 years of human resources experience of which at least 7 years have been spent in human resources leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (EDIA) initiatives in alignment with the Indigenous Reconciliation Action Plan (IRAP), with a strong focus on building meaningful relationships, fostering community engagement, and developing collaborative partnerships with equity deserving groups and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical background including utilizing MS office tools to support the analysis and messaging based on the results.
  • Demonstrated advanced knowledge of human resources management principles and practices including those pertaining to talent management, organizational development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, employment relations, with proven expertise of applicable laws and regulations governing these areas;
  • Experience in leveraging modern technologies and Generative AI solutions to improve operational efficiency within your department and across the organization
