Job Overview:

The Torque Wrench Calibration Technician will be responsible for the calibration, maintenance, and repair of torque wrenches. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of torque measurement principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Calibration: Perform accurate calibrations of torque wrenches using industry-standard procedures and equipment.

Testing & Measurement: Conduct tests to verify the performance of torque wrenches, ensuring they meet specified tolerances.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of calibration results, adjustments made, and equipment used, adhering to company and industry standards.

Maintenance & Repair: Identify and troubleshoot issues with torque wrenches, executing repairs as needed.

Compliance: Ensure all calibration processes comply with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO, ANSI).

Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients regarding calibration services, providing recommendations as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in metrology, mechanical engineering, or a related field is a plus but not required.

Experience: Minimum of 1 years of experience in calibration or a related field. Experience with torque equipment is highly desirable. **Rate of pay will be based off applicants experience**

Skills:

  • Proficient in using calibration equipment and tools.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Calibration Technician) are preferred but not required.

Working Conditions:

  • Work will be performed in a cal lab environment. Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm

  • May require lifting equipment (30 to 50lbs) and standing for extended periods.
