Overview

St. Joachim Lodge Rest Home is hiring an Overnight Caregiver to provide hands-on resident support and facility maintenance during overnight and early morning hours. This position requires strong attention to detail, adherence to care and medication protocols, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and supportive living environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support residents overnight, ensuring safety and well-being.
  • Administer scheduled medications in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform detailed housekeeping and sanitation duties to maintain a clean, safe, and inspection-ready facility.
  • Prepare the kitchen and serve breakfast in the morning.
  • Complete resident and facility laundry as scheduled.
  • Document observations, communicate with staff, and report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Ensure entrances, exits, and common areas remain clean, safe, and accessible.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Good physical stamina to stand and perform manual tasks for extended periods
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors
  • Prior experience within Healthcare / Caregiving / Housekeeping
  • First Aid/CPR certification required.
  • Food Handler certificate required.
