Hallex Civil Engineering is currently looking for a Civil Engineer for our Niagara Falls office.

Main responsibilities include for high level planning of developments with respect to site servicing and grading as follows:

  • Functional Servicing Reports for Site Plan Applications and planning purposes
  • Subdivision and private site servicing design including watermain, sanitary sewer and storm sewer layout and design
  • Correspond with municipalities to determine servicing locations and capacities as part of site planning
  • Design of stormwater management facilities to accommodate quantity and quality controls and produce reports to the satisfaction of applicable codes and requirements
  • Perform site work
  • Work with Hallex and client drawing standards
  • Follow Hallex and client health and safety requirements

The following qualifications are required:

  • Knowledge of Ministry guidelines for stormwater management design
  • Perform detailed design drawings in the latest version of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Knowledge of local/regional municipality guidelines for storm, sanitary and water system designs in the Golden Horseshoe Area
  • Ability to understand and work within project scope and directly with planning staff and clients
  • Perform designs and review in the latest versions of EPA SWMM and/or PCSWMM, or EPANET, Oil/Grit Separator Design Software, PipePac, Microsoft Excel or similar software
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • P.Eng designation with Professional Engineers of Ontario
  • 5+ years relevant working experience
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
